Target Audience: Individuals who make financial decisions on behalf of their small water/wastewater utility. Board members, managers, and other utility leaders will benefit from this training for utilities that have the ability to set their own rates. If the utility’s rate-setting is regulated by a utility commission, you should follow their rules and regulations.

Duration: Approximately 2 Hours

Learning Objectives:
1) Name the most important objective in rate-setting for all utilities
2) Identify the data necessary to conduct an accurate rate audit
3) Estimate how revenues and expenses will likely change over time
4) Calculate changes in the base rate or flow rate to ensure you can meet your financial target in the future
